What to Wear to Class

Hello Loves,

Sorry I have been away for a while. I really need to try to keep my blog up. Things have been so hectic lately. So, I just wanted to do a quick post showing what my friend Megan and I wore to class, at our London Uni, a couple of weeks back.

Dress- Marshals / Blazer - Forever 21  / Boots- Vince Camuto / Earrings - knocksoftly.com / Bag - Uni Messenger

Most of this outfit was made out of items I've had for years now, not to sure you would be able to find any accept for the earrings, but hope it gives you some inspiration.  I personally love working with earth towns, I feel it goes so well with my skin complexion  Two more outfits to bring that Edge style to class. Shows how in the fall you can still put bright pieces into your outfit choice for the day.

Pair together a pink sweater and floral headband with military boots really make the outfit stand out.

Adding a leather jacket and printed scarf really makes your outfit bold and stand out.

Thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed.

My Life as a London, Uni Student

Hello Loves,

These past three weeks have been extremely hectic. I have class every single day, meaning M-F, and to stay in shape and save money I commute to campus by walking with my Flatmate. The walk is usually 30-40 minutes, and I have def been seeing changes in the bottom portion of my body lol. Some things that I have learned about the British culture since I have been here.
1. Do not be late to class.
2. Pastry shops sell like meat and cheese pastries, not tarts.
3. Cars do not stop, run or get hit.
4. Markets are cheaper then stores.
5. Most tube stations are closed on weekends.
6. No such thing as preservatives.
7. Everything is fresh and small.
8. A restroom is a place you actually rest if you are sick.
9. The pub is the place to be after work.
10. You don't need to tip at a restaurant or pub.

Here are a few pics for you to see what I have seen.

These are a few of my Favorite Things

Hello Loves,

I wanted to let you all know just a little bit more about myself and a few of the things that interest me. This is nothing huge or serious, just a little small tidbit of me.

1. Urban Outfitters - I absolutely love this store. Every time I go inside I find something, even if it is just a small item. Mostly what I get is in the sale section because I am a college student lol. Coming up I'll show you a few of the pieces I found in there in the past couple of months. (UO small haul coming soon)
2. Starbucks - I am in love with the Strawberries and Cream item. It is sweet, cool, creamy, and just amazing. I was feeling for one so badly the other day I just had to go into Barnes and Noble just to get one. I think I will drink one tomorrow.
Teen Vogue - This magazine does me wonders. I really should just subscribe since I buy it almost every month. It really gives key fashion advice that really does help me so much. I do wish I could afford the pieces it features, but hey there will always be cheaper lookalikes in stores I can afford.
3. Juicy Couture - Even though I am not an everyday seasonal JC shopper I still love their style. Their pieces are so classic mixed with a prep girly. I recently purchased a bag from their, which I got at a major discount, and this is the purchaser bag it came in. It was so cute I just could not throw it away. I think I am going to make it some sort of wall decor.
4. Company - This UK based magazine is amazing. No offense to my lovely American Magazines, but this gives magazine is the best I have looked in so far. It shows tons of street style, and I don't even know what else I just love it. The only place I know of to purchase it is Barnes and Noble, so check it out if you can.

Hoped you enjoyed!!

Stripes

Hello Loves,

As you fashionistas may know, stripes have played a huge role in this season's statements. They have been made into dresses, shirts, blazers, pointed shoes, and my fav (which I still have not purchased) pants.  Not only are these stripes bold and vast, but they fit so many different styles. You can do edgy with striped pants, a leather motor jacket, and military boots. You can also do a striped shirt, with a solid skirt, heels, and a bold lip color. Or you could do glam with a bright dress, striped blazer, and heels. It is really up to you how you want to make your statement.  The other day I went to my little sisters first cheerleading game, and I decided to be bold with some stripes. The outfit is below. My pictures aren't that good of quality, so please bare with me. Hope you continue to wear them.

Trials and Tribulations

Hello Loves,

For the last couple of days I have been trying to be more creative with the outfits I put together. Just trying to use the clothes I have in my closet, while at the same time cleaning out the clothes I do not even wear anymore. We can discuss that trial at another date lol. So here are just some things that I threw together, while also trying to be versatile with my hair. The pictures are a little out of order

Saturday
I went out with two of my sorors and decided to do something very chill. My hair was a wet and go with a side part. This outfit was very simple, but cute and comfortable.
Shirt: Peebles
Pants: Cotton On
Shoes: Dirty Laundry
Bag: Nine West

 Sunday( Today)
Went to Red Lobsters with my sisters for a Sunday Brunch and decided to look cute and all lol. My hair is a continuation of my wet and go from yesterday just pulled up.
Shirt: Urban Outfitters
Jeans: Wet Seal
Shoes: Steve Madden
Bag: Vintage Dooney and Bourke

Friday
I went to an all day event with my sorors at a Refinery, discussing women in the Engineering work force. It was wonderful and very informative. My hair was a stretched twist out. With French rolls in the front.
Shirt: Q
Pants: New York and Company
Shoes: Bandelino
Bag: Nine West

Thursday
Just a regular day. I went to visit my grandmother and spent time with her, my uncle, and cousin. Also ran errands most of the day. My hair was in twists that were then in two big twist and decorated with a beret.
Skirt: Wet Seal
Belt: Macy's Material Girl
Earrings: knocksoftly.com
Shoes: Minnetonka

Hope these gave you a few ideas.

SHOES, Shoes, shoes !!!

Hello Loves,

I am really trying to get my blog up and running, and really get some more viewers. I don't have the ability to take pictures of what I wear everyday as of now, so I am really trying to think of ideas to blog on. So I decided to do a little excerpt on my new shoe collection. I have to say I went crazy this summer and almost every pair of shoes I loved; I bought. Don't assume I am rich, I just worked this summer and didn't have bills to pay besides rent lol. Most of the shoes I purchased myself, some were purchased a la mama. Hope you enjoy my little shoe show. Exact prices I cannot remember, but ranges and places of purchase will be given.

A plethora of my shoes...

 Boots

Doc Martens: Ross $26.99
So at first I really wasn't feeling the Docs, I thought they would make my feet look big and ugly. However, when I saw these and how much they were I had to get them. I literally almost cried because I didn't want to spend any more money.

Flats

Right to Left:

Bandelino: Ross - Range $20-25
Dirty Laundry: Ross $12.99
So these Bandelinos I ultimately had to get for work. My other black flats needed to go pronto. As you can see the Dirty Laundry was a really good price. I wear them all of the time, and now the inside clothe is coming up. I still love them.

Heels

Right to Left:

Nine West: Macys - Range$30-40
G by Guess: Ross - Range $20-25
Nine West: Ross - Range $20-25
Every girl needs a nude pair of heels!! This is a motto.

Right to Left:

Madden Girl : Macys $30-40
JustFab : Originally $39.95 (Buy 1 get 1 free)
Vince Camuto: Nordstrom Rack $43.99
JustFab: Originally $39.95 (Buy 1 get 1 free)
So I am 5'9'' and I recently just became comfortable with wearing 5 in heels. So I went on a spree to get some of my own. As you can see prints are very important. Floral and Animal are really in, plus they looks awesome.

Sandals

Cheap Monday:Urban Outfitters $25.99
Kimchi Blue:Urban Outfitters $19.99
Wanted: Urban Outfitters $25.99
I purchased these offline when Urban Outfitters was having their sale. I walk so hard on my feet that I have to purchase sandals every summer because they always get messed up and break. I absolutely love these, and they fit. I really haven't worn them that much due to the rain, but I hope they last.

 Wedges

Right to Left:

Steve Madden: Ross $20-25
BCBG Generation: Ross $20-25
Wedges are so comfortable. They are like balances that totally work an outfit.

Thank you for reading about my shoe haul. Hope you get some good insight on where to buy shoes. If you are near a Ross, I am telling you get whatever they have. I don't have Ross is my area, but when I see one I stock up. Enjoy the rest of the summer loves.
