You give me the blues

Hello YBC's,

So I have been going crazy shopping these past couple of weeks since I've been in California. I honestly do not know how I am going to get all of this stuff back to New Jersey in 7 weeks. Which does mean I still have tons for shopping to do. Below are two outfits I put together during some free time to have something to do. Let me know what you think.

Outfit 1: Dress- Ross, Bag- Nine West(purchased via Ross)
Outfit 2: Shirt/ Shorts- Zara , Bag- same as 1st outfit

I decided to wear outfit one today so here is the turnout.
I added the ascot to give it a little more flavor.

From Plain to Stylish

So I know there are days when everyone feels like crap and kind of just throws on clothes. Then you get to that moment when you are staring in the mirror trying to figure out what can you add to your outfit to spark it up. Well below are a few pieces I put together by just adding key statements that can turn any plain outfit to a stylish one.
The Vest
 1. Add a denim vest to a sundress, plain t-shirt, or whatever you feel needs it.
2. Add a cute ascot to give it a unique look. Choose earrings that match the ascot to have pop out pieces.
3/4. Go for a girly look by adding a flowery scarf, some rocker earrings, and a cute pink bag.

The Flower Printed Shirt
 1. Pair up some bottoms with a flowery shirt. Use natural toned makeup to add to the sense of nature from the shirt.
2. Go for a laid back look with a tote with natural colors.
3. For a nice day of shopping pick a medium size bag that blends in with the outfit.
4. Going on a date or a night on the town pick a cross body bag that accents a small color in the shirt, like yellow.

The Bright Skirt
1. Pair up a bright skirt with a plain t-shirt and a contrasting accessory.
2/3. Put on a yellow ascot and wear a yellow bag to pop out of an outfit with a bright orange or blue skirt.
4. Wear a light blue ascot with a blue skirt to blend in your colors.

Hope these give you some ideas.

Throw Something Together

For a while I have been so self conscious about wearing leggings as plain bottoms. Today I have come out of  my shell, mainly because I didn't go anywhere today. So I threw together this outfit that actually looks stylish. Just add some nice sandals, jewelry, a scarf maybe, do up the hair and make up, and wah la.
Shirt/belt/cardi - Forever 21
Leggings - Cotton On

So I told myself I was going to start this blog and keep it up to the best of my ability. Well as you can see, those who actually look, I have been doing a horrible job. So far these past couple of weeks have been up and down. This past Saturday, my uncle passed away which left me distraught, since I am miles away from home. That night I tried to get it off my head. So here is the outfit I wore going to a horrible grand opening for a club in Southern Cali.
Top: PacSun
Shorts: WetSeal
Necklace: Giftstore from a hospital
Earrings: Forever 21 (i think)
Hair: Washed with coconut milk shampoo, condition with Aussie Moist
Being from New Jersey and living in Cali for the summer without a car is not so wonderful at all. 1st you need a car to go anywhere and I have nothing. I really just go to work and chill in my hotel room. Also, trying to find the essentials I need for my hair has been hard, I think I found everything so lets see how it goes. Thanks for reading.

My first official post :)
Summer has officially began, in my book that is. Seems like the entire world is obsessed with this YOLO motto, and I think I’m starting to feed into it. “You only live once” and the truth is you really do. Unfortuneately, us humans are not cockroaches that never die or cats with nine lives. I don’t believe in the whole get drunk and high YOLO, but I do believe in having as much fun that I can while I can. Let’s face it, I’m about to be 20 years old and I don’t want to end up feeling like a dump because I did not explore the world or check items off of my bucket list. So this summer is a start. In one week I will be moving out to LA for the summer, for work of course, but I want to do more than work. I want to have FUN. SO let the beginning to my Summer and my One Life begin now. Now is the time to face my fears and get it all out before its too late. Get ready, get set, GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
